TikTok has become my go-to app for entertainment and online shopping lately. The endless stream of short videos makes discovering new products so effortless and fun. But I’ve noticed my shopping habits on TikTok tend to be more impulsive compared to other sites. 

The smooth user experience definitely encourages tapping without much thought. So in this post, I wanted to explore whether buying on TikTok is really an intentional act or just an impulsive reaction.

It’s all very seamlessly integrated. TikTok also has shoppable livestreams now where influencers promote products in real-time. Viewers can tap on pins to buy as they watch. The whole experience is designed to keep you engaged on the app – and spending!

My Verdict: TikTok Shopping Can Be Both Intentional AND Impulsive!

After taking a closer look, I think TikTok is designed to encourage impulsive buying with its addictive feed and one-click checkout. But you can also use it intentionally if you stay mindful about what you’re purchasing.
